Not privately, not yet. I'm a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (#105191), which means I practice under supervision through my employer until I'm fully licensed. When that changes, this page will too.

No. Most of these practices start with eyes open, and the ones that offer closing them say so and offer a way back.

Then you stop, open your eyes, look around the room, and count that as a successful practice. This happens to a lot of people, and it's studied; it isn't a sign that you're doing it wrong. Try a shorter practice, or one that uses sound or touch instead of the breath. If it keeps happening, that's worth talking it over with someone you trust.
